Swiss Diamond RulesAug 28, 2006

I have had a Swiss Diamond frying pan for nearly a year now, and it still looks and functions as good as new with heavy usage. This is non-stick that really lasts. Previous was non-stick Calphalon and it didn't make it 6 months before the cooking surface was worn out and flaking off. Bought this pan to take the place of another size that I use regularly. Will get more Swiss Diamond as soon as I can afford it. I think it is definitely worth the price since it outlasts similarly-priced pans (and some higher priced pans).
Vastly over rated (or at least "over hyped")Jun 24, 2011

I purchased three Swiss Diamond pans, because I bought into the hype that they had all of the advantages of non-stick, and would last forever. I almost never use the frying pan anymore (the big one) because it has turned into a "super-stick" surface over time, and I didn't even use metal utensils with it. It has a "burned" look, and if I hadn't spent so much damn money for it I would just throw it away. The glass top for the frying pan (I know, I should review each piece separately, but I am doing a combined "Swiss Diamond" review here) mysteriously shattered into thousands of little pieces while sitting on my kitchen counter - we had taken it off of the hot pan (I don't remember what was cooking in it, but it doesn't really matter) and set it to the side. About 30 seconds later it just kind of exploded, and no one was touching it at the time. I was standing right there and I couldn't beleive it. Damn! I still use the really big pot I purchased, partially because it is great for making homemade bread (I "bake" the bread Dutch-oven style on a burner since my oven is too big for baking just one loaf). I would definitely NOT purchase Swiss Diamond cookware again, and I think that their whole sales pitch is just that: brilliant marketing for a very mediocre (at best!) product. By some heavy stainless pieces and stop worrying about it. Teflon is apparently dangerous and doesn't last very long, and all of the fancy teflon substitutes I have tried have turned out to be failures. Oh well!
really makes a difference - excellent !Nov 26, 2008

Swiss Diamond cookware is expensive, but worth the price for me. The surface cleans very easily and truly is extremely scratch resistant with metal utensils. The adjustable vented lid works extremely well - my only complaint is that the screw securing the handle can loosen up. The plastic handles on the pot stay cool and almost always can be handled without pot holders. And best of all - heat distribution is extremely even allowing much more control of cooking temperature. For often distracted cooks like my wife and I, this dramatically cuts back on those embarrassing burning incidents. The cookware is even kind of beautiful in a tech-y, Swiss sort of way. We have 3 Swiss Diamond pots and would buy more. The 3 and 1/5 quart stewpot is relatively broad and shallow, but the superb evenness of the heat makes it much more versatile than you might expect and allows use on large diameter gas stove burners.

By D. Campbell great product good for dinner for two. After one year of everyday use looks like new. I also put it on the dishwasher, just make sure that you do not put bleach it will discolor the bottom. That all. katia Truckee, California

This pot is good as they said. It heats up evenly, a perfect non-stick pot. But the lid fits loosely and the quality need to improve to judge for the price.
