I purchased a sauté pan and an 11" fry pan. They are an absolute pleasure to use: heat and cook evenly, don't stick, aren't Teflon, and are extraordinarily easy to clean. The glass covers vent a bit and make it easy to see how my dish is doing.

Great non-stick, but avoid using metallic spatulasJan 11, 2007

Was looking for a good non-stick pan and read many raving reviews about swiss diamond...so finally, took the plunge and ordered 11" pan with lid. The delivery was good (I read some packaging problems in other reviews, but my pan came properly packaged and without any damage).
I've been using it now for 3-4 months and it is indeed non-stick..requires much less oil and offers even cooking. Cleaning is a breeze, but make sure that you clean immediately and don't allow the grease to 'cake-in'. I liked it so much, that now I've ordered two more as gifts to my friends.
Having said so, there are two issues that you should be aware of:
1. The pan is very heavy! If you have weak wrists, think before ordering
2. Though it says that there is no restriction of wooden/plastic spatulas..I found dent marks on my pan after using metallic spoons etc, so I've started using good old wooden/plastic spatulas.
Overall, a great product that I'm looking forward to enjoy for many more years...

I've been looking for a good non-stick pan for years and have never been satisfied with the durability or performance of the products I've purchased. I became interested in getting away from teflon when I read that the non-stick process of this product does not "kill the canary". I've been reading about the dangers of conventional teflon and was looking for an alternative. This pan has ended my search.
It is exactly as advertised, heats evenly, does not stick, cleans up without effort and is a pleasure to use. Everything I've cooked in this pan has been perfect, even things that usually stick like teriyaki just get a nice glaze without sticking. Blackend fish just slides out and leaves no residue and even a pan-fried crust browns well and uses less oil. I plan to expand my collection with more of this product.

The pan arrived on time and undamaged in the factory box. The nonstick surface is slicker than the hardened titanium one used on Scanpan, and cleans easily. The rotating vent on the glass lid is a nice feature. My wife was skeptical at first, but I've caught her and my daughter using this pan frequently- in fact, it's become their favorite pan! Unlike a pure teflon finish, this pan will brown the food nicely. As far as durability goes, well, it's too early to tell, but the manufacturer touts the longevity of their product. I like it.

Twice, we have attempted to purchase the 11 inch Swiss Diamond 6428C fry pan with lid from Amazon and had to return each upon delivery. The pans are shipped from the factory in boxes that are too small and during shipment the knobs on the lid break. The knobs are made of a brittle plastic and the lids simply are not packed with enough cushioning.
These may be good pans but unfortunately have very poor packaging.
