This is an excellent pepper mill that is very attractive on the counter top/workspace as well as on the table. It is very easy to use: a fine grind and increments all way to very coarse--just by turning the top knob. I found it easy to load. I've used this for about 3 months and have encountered no problems whatsoever. I predict it will last 3-4 years working at top performance. A good number for a pepper mill. Then it will be time to get another and I would definitely buy another Peugeot.

We got this pepper mill about a year ago. It arrived well packaged and in great condition.
It superbly combines form and function. We use it several times a day. After a year or more of use, it still looks lovely and works very well. This pepper mill grinds peppercorns exactly to your liking -either coarse, medium, or fine.
The size is perfectly manageable. It fits the hands well-either the large man's hands, or the more petite fingers of a woman.
There have been absolutely NO problems with this pepper mill after a year or more of daily use.
We did read the instructions carefully before use. We do not use the fine green, red, or white peppercorns. We only use the black firmer peppercorns. (readily available even in bulk ) that are recommended to keep the pepper mill working properly.
The reddish hue of the pepper mill is very pretty. We do not make the outside wet, so as not to spoil the luster of the paint. The mill can be readily wiped clean with a slightly dampened cloth. We would never get the inside wet either as that might disturb the fine Peugeot mechanism.
All in all, it's a great pepper mill-one we enjoy seeing and using daily. Look no further- I would expect it to last a very long time.......... well worth the price.

I love this pepper grinder. I have been using it for about 6 months it always makes me smile when I reach for it. The red lacquer is holding up very well, I occasionally wipe it with a damp paper towel. I haven't had any difficulty with the grinder, or switching between different settings. If you can get pass the price tag, I'm sure you'll love it.

I bought this because on the cheapies I'm used to, the thumbscrew that adjusts the grind comes loose and the mill stops working. Imagine my chagrin when this $70 Peugeot did the same thing! Would have returned it but I waited too long. Pass on this thing for sure!
