You simply cannot go wrong with this grater. It is definitely the best grater I've used. Extremely sharp, easy to hold, and does a fabulous job.

I like it when a tool performs as expected. This grater does just that. Tired of fighting with the graders in my kitchen, I decided to give this one a try. It works so well I picked up the other models as well. Easy to use, easy to clean, easy to store and it even comes with a cover to protect it during storage.
It works as advertised, I'll be picking up the others in the series.

First: On sale I got it for under $5! Second: I was a little worried about the size of the gratings this would make. Maybe this would only be good for chocolate shavings on top of desserts... then I tried it with citrus and it works great! The size of the gratings that you get are not too big that you can't cook with them, but they're not too small to use as a garnish.
It's always fun to have that hidden ingredient in what your eating, and zest usually becomes that secret flavor, but the look of the larger shavings gives my dishes a fresh, homemade look!

I have several Microplane products and all are superb; this is no exception. It quickly and neatly grates narrow ribbons of firm cheese and chocolate. If you need a little grated carrot it works for that also. It stores compactly in a drawer and comes with a plastic sleeve to protect not only the blade but you as this is one very sharp grater.

This is so easy to use, easy to clean, easy to store. My other graters seemed like too much trouble to set up or clean but this one is perfect. Now I only use my other graters if I need a large amount grated; I use this one 99% of the time.
