Best knife I've ever owned for the priceOct 06, 2010
By C. Chu The thought of taking my $200 Shun knife camping was not attractive so I looked around for a cheaper product that did not compromise on quality. This Pure Komachi was an instant hit with me and every single camp mate that's had the pleasure of using it. No one believed me when I told the what (little) it cost me. I have since bought two other different length Pure Komachis and portable knife guards. I now find it hard pressed to justify paying top dollar for high class knives. The only drawback I can see (yet to test) is that these might be a little too brittle for chopping, twisting and cutting hard items.

description a little misleadingApr 18, 2011
By Sandy M Ju The picture of the knife looks lavender, but is pink. The knife was descibed as coming with its own protective sheath for storing, but does not. Despite these 2 little misleading issues, I love the knife. It's lightweight and very sharp with a good grip. I would definitely recommend this knife and am already thinking of getting more.

Good knifeApr 22, 2011
By Mary H. Franklin REALLY sharp. I cut myself getting the packaging open. Could be packaged easier to open. But knife is excellent for making thin slices of meat, or even slices of large vegetables like eggplant. Now I'm waiting to see how long this product holds the sharpness.

Pretty good and cuteMay 19, 2010
By Tara I love the Komachi knives especially the older pastel version. The new colors are kind of hideous (in my opinion). They are really sharp when you first get them. I use this knife almost everyday, and it stays sharp for about 6 months.
