Wife loves itMay 15, 2010
By T. Liu Bought this knife for my wife and she loves it. Absolutely sharp and high quality knife. The weight is perfect. The only down side is that the handle is plastic and kind of slippery. Other than that, it is perfect. It cuts meat, too. But do not use it to chop chickens or bones. It is not meant to be a meat cleaver.

Perfect modern cleaverDec 16, 2011
By SuttonDan If you want a chinese cleaver for cutting meats, vegetables, mincing herbs and garlic, or any other reason, this one will do all of the above. It as a nice handle for comfort, and a precise edge for control. It shipped alot faster than I would ave thought as well.

Cuts through meat, too!Dec 10, 2008
By ritzy007 Bought this for my mom to use and she thought it was too sharp; awesome. She cooks a lot but uses crap knives so when she came to my place and was given the choice of using a Henckels for meat and one for vegetables she said it was unnecessary and, for lack of a better word, lavish. If you don't cook often you could probably get away with buying one cleaver for use on veggies and meats. This one is lighter in weight but bigger in size compared to the meat cleaver.

very sharp!!!!Jul 21, 2011

"volleyball go!"
the knife matches the name: VEGETABLE cleaver. It is only good for vege and non-bone meat. The blade is quite thin but the steel is hard enough to hold the shape while you doing the work. It is very sharp ( I have another Henckels knives to compare to). Since it is so thin, you don't want to cut through bones to risk the blade. In addition, the handle is very comfortable. 7" is just perfect for me, and it is wide enough for me to use the blade as a pivot point while cutting, that is why I like chinese cleaver over western chef knife.
So far, so goodMay 13, 2012
By mommyof2 I've only had 1 opportunity to use the Zwilling J.A. Henckels Twin Cleaver, and it was extremely sharp. It feels very durable and comfortable in my hands. I own other twin series and I've been very happy with the entire line. I expect this will be no different.
