Flexi knifeJun 21, 2011
By M. Aiken This knife is very sharp, but has a _lot_ of flexibility in the blade. If you're cutting something hard (think carrots or harder), the tip of the blade can easily deviate more than 1cm either side of centre as you're cutting. I havent cut myself (yet- knock on wood!) but I can see how it could easily happen if you're not paying close attention, or if you're paring something with your fingers close to the blade. If the knife were a bit more stiff, it would be great.

We have a set of these and the 4" knife is my favorite. I have small hands and find it very easy to handle. Make sure you buy the good Henckels and not the ones from Japan - bought some steak knives, they were cheap and cheap is what I got.
Great knife... I always grab this one from the blockFeb 15, 2010

As I said, this is the knife I always grab from the block, if it's dirty I wash it so I can use it. I have other nice parring knifes such as Cutco but I just love the feel of this one. I normally don't write reviews but this one didn't get what it deserves. I've had it over a year and it keeps a nice edge. I've sharpened it once or twice and there not much more to add. Buy this one and you will not regret it.

Excellent knifeJul 24, 2008
By Maryland Gentleman We can use our 4" knive for so many ways. Its been several weeks since I bought it and like it very much. One suggestion: if you plan to cut large veggies such as pineapple or watermellon, then you need a longer knife. Its a 4" blade on this one.
