 great pan, but warped and nonstick wearing off after 7 monthsApr 25, 2010
I really like this pan, but i do have some issues after 7 months use. My 9 year old daughter was making pancakes (learing), and the heat got a little too high - not much, just slightly - and the pan warped and is no longer flat. It still works, even on our glass-top range, but being flat is important to me and it is warped now. Also, the non-stick has significantly degraded, to where it is becoming difficult to clean after eggs, and cooked on oil from pancakes, etc. It is still very good for pancakes, and the size is perfect for 4 decent sized pancakes = perfect size. I might just relegate this pan to ONLY cooking pancakes now, as many other things stick. We babied this pan, btw, never used metal implements or scrubby side of sponge, etc. Keep the heat low and be gentle with it and it will be good. I think if the pan was a little thicker that it would be less likely to warp.
I like the pan but it is 50% less non-stick than it was 7 months ago, new. I'd recommend it for making pancakes once a week, but not for everyday use, and not at even 20% too high a heat setting.

Wow, I am now the Pancake and Grill cheese king. I never thought a pan could make this much difference. But it does. I went from making OK pancakes to making the fluffiest best pancakes ever. Same recipe, the one that comes with the Bisquick box, and i always add 2tsp. of Mazola oil.
They came out so much better. I am so glad i DID NOT GO AND BUY ANOTHER CHEAP PAN..The one I was using had bowed in the middle after one year, and it had cost 20.00 dollars and seemed fairly thick and heavy.... But i know now.. Do not CHEAT ON THE PAN.... After reading all the reviews of the Circulon 11 inch regular griddle pan, I opted to spend the xtra bucks and and go with the Elite for 39.99, Now this was about 4.00$ cheaper than the Calaphon,
Because I was looking at those and was gonna buy that one. But it was 44.00 dollars at the time, I see now its back to 39.99/ I figured the price was a little high at 44.oo and that is why I went with THE CIRCULON, AND Im glad I did, TRUTHFULLY I dont think you can find a better pan no matter how much xtra you pay..The moment i received it , I had to test out the no butter at all as everyone says you can do with these pans... 4 small pancakes Made at one time and used NO BUTTER, exept on top of the pancakes as im more of a butter freak than syrup, I just use a touch of syrup on top. And ill tell ya, I was amazed at how they slid off the pan... IM TELLING YOU , BEG , BORROW , OR STEAL , AND DONT EVEN THINK ABOUT BUYING THE CHEAPER 20.00$ PANS THAT they offer at the discount store. Now I cant tell YOU how much better this is than the REGULAR CALIPHON PAN FOR 29.00$.....BUT I WOULD JUST BUY THE ELITE. ALSO AS A NOTE.. ONE other reason i went with this over the calaphon was the handle , it looked better than the calaphon. This handle rocks.... Now im sure that both pans are great.. But calaphon made a stupid mistake putting their pan at 44.00 dollars, So that and the handle made me go with CIRCULON.
I also made grill cheese, and it came out great. The even cooking temp really makes a huge difference. I use soft butter spread on each side of the bread before I put it on the pan, this is for taste and texture. Then I put it on the pan and cover it for a minute or 2, When the sides of the grill cheese look a little melted , I take cover off, flip it over to the other side which is buttered, and let it
finish uncovered. In 4 or 5 minutes I have the best grill cheese in the world, I use 3 pieces of cheese, 2 on one side , 1 on the other , Then close the sandwich and put on the preheated pan and cover. If your using more cheese it may take longer. I also used a slice of tomato in there and the sandwich was nice and gooey before the tomato went to soft.. COMES OUT GREAT.. GREAT PAN.
OH, I almost forgot, AMAZON ROCKS, I received my pan well before the estimated time, ILL tell ya, if other company's on the internet kept as high a standard as Amazon we would all benefit. I went from doing about 50 percent of my shopping on Amazon about 4 years ago, AND NOW I DO 90 Percent, JUST KEEP IT UP AND DON'T GET COCKY, and stop with those stupid 30 cent price increases or decreases. Whats that all about?

I have had one for 2 years now, my two daughters & husbands love mine, both just got married, so I got them both one for Christmas.
IT IS A Great pan and has performed wonderful, and such a handy size for grilled cheese, pancakes, love it.

This is a very nice griddle. Looks exactly like my Circulon fryer pan. It makes great pancakes, (looking forward to grilled sandwiches). To the lady who doesn't think you can put it in the dishwasher. I think it says that you can on the instructions, but why? It takes a squirt of soap and about 5 seconds and its clean and ready to go again. I swear I have never cooked anything on Circulon that doesn't usually just wipe right off of it. It has a smooth finished bottom that won't scratch a ceramic glass oven top. Heats up evenly and cooks great. Really nice rubberized and stainless handle. Stays cool and gives a good grip.

I was looking for a nice pancake griddle that would work on a glass top stove. This one has exceeded my expectations! The pancakes don't stick at all to the pan and it heated up perfectly. It is made solid and the non-stick surface is wonderful. I almost bought the $30 ones offered at Target or even Macy's but I am so glad I didn't. This one may be a little more expensive but it was worth it. The only thing I wish I could do is put it in the dishwasher.
