What a knife!Sep 30, 2006

I just bought my first Analon knife. I've always used Henkle Four-Star Products, but the length of this knife was just what I wanted, so figured I couldn't go too wrong given the price. Great suprise when I opened the box. This knife is built like a tank! Heavy weight, well balanced, and comes with one of the niftiest protective covers that the blade slides into and then locks. But I bought this to cut bread. And it is smooth, sharp, and perfect for the task. Wish I had found out about this beauty before I bought some of my other cooking knives!

Worth ItApr 10, 2007
By R. Ludwig Analon makes very nice knives. This is no exception. The blade nicely finished and keeps an edge. The handles are very comfortable, especially for a large hand. I find the knives to be well balanced. THe plastic, snap on blade cover is a nice touch. This knife, and Analon knives in general, are a good value.

Bread KnifeJul 11, 2009

There is absoluetly nothing to compare with this bread knife except for a Japanese sword. I use it for cutting Jewish Rye Bread with a hard crust...this knife doesn't know it's cutting through "hard crust". I keep it in it's sheeth (comes with the knife) when not in use.
I've lived a long time...too bad I didn't know about the product sooner!

Great bread knifeNov 30, 2009

We've purchased other Analon knives, so this one was an easy choice. Our old serrated edge bread knife had become a chore to use, so we were unprepared for the ease with which this knife cuts through the loaf. The knife has a good heft and excellent balance, and we find ourselves looking for excuses to use it. Highly recommended.
