I got a great deal on the 13" French All Clad skillet from a department store, but it came solo without a lid. While that pan has its on set of negative issues, this lid fits it well and I was please with it. I am posting this info because I couldn't tell from Amazon's item description whether it would fit the French style skillet and took a gamble in ordering it. I was very relieved to find out that it fit perfectly. Hopefully this review will save someone else the angst.

I have the All-Clad copper core 6 quart saute pan that, like the previous reviewer, I purchased it at a department store at a deeply discounted price but minus the lid. From the description, it was very difficult for me to tell if it would actually fit, but it fits fairly well. It is the correct lid but the fit is only near perfect, as you can slide it around a bit once it is on. I feel for the price, it should be better. However, I believe it creates a good enough seal to trap the flavors and steam. I have read that this problem exists with other All-Clad lids.
The actual diameter of the lid is 13 5/8", not the 12.8" by 12.7" stated in the description--how could that be, anyway, as the lid is perfectly round? I think they measured the lid by the part that goes inside the pot, not the total measurement. If the lid was actually around 12.8" in diameter, it would fall into the pot. I took a chance on ordering it as I know Amazon is very good with returns, but it worked out.
So, if anyone else has the All-Clad copper core 6 quart saute pan minus the lid, they should be happy to know that this one works. This lid is simply stainless steel (not clad) and it is not marked, but I believe it is made in China, as are other All-Clad lids. Also, it seems to me that the handle could be a bit bigger.
I received this lid with free Super Saver shipping in two days! Overall, I am happy that I found a lid that I could use.

After years of owning a vintage 12 qt. All-Clad pot without a lid, I decided to get serious and get a lid. A bit of research, measurement, and on-line shopping led me to an allegedly used unit available at substantial discount from Amazon. The lid arrived quickly and looked to be totally unused. A visiting friend put it to use almost immediately making a wonderful seafood concoction. The lid fit perfectly, and it looks and works great.
