Outrageous All Clad Warranty PerformanceMar 18, 2009
By K. Angel
"Hulagirl"
I purchased the 1 1/2 quart pan in October. In December it delaminated on a portion of the base - an area about 1/2 inch wide, and 5 inches long. In January, after Christmas, I returned the pan to All Clad after some difficulty in finding out from them where to send the pan. I was on hold on two different lines for a long time. I did send the pan per FedEx on January 19. I heard nothing from them. In mid February I called to check on status only to hear that it took six weeks for processing and testing. After waiting another 3-4 weeks (now March 12) I called again only to be told they could not find my pan, but would check and call back in 48 hours. On March 18, I still had not heard from the company so I call back and this time spoke with a manager or supervisor. Now my pan is "on the way to New Jersey" but had to wait "because it went with a large pallet" of goods. (My sympathy to the others who have sent in defective pans!!!) I insisted on a call back tomorrow - we will see if that happens. At this point I am disgusted and outraged with All-Clad. This is touted as such a wonderful product and company. I have never had any other stainless pans delaminate (layers separate and fall off). This is truly a case of buyer beware as the warranty seems to not mean very much. I gave up my other pans in anticipation after a move of obtaining these pans - I think I will go get some Revereware! I am extremely disappointed and believe I have been lied to and/or put-off throughout this process. I am going to call my friends who have recommended this product to me and let them know how very poor the performance has been. An outstanding company would have just immediately replaced the pan. It makes me wonder how many defective products this company has that they have to take this excessive time for testing/excuse making before replacing a defective product.

All lCad Door Busters are must haveNov 05, 2007
By Jackdaw All Clad has two pots at bargain prices to lure cooks in to the pleasures of top quality cookware--the 8" fry pan and the 1 1/2 qt. sauce pan. You deserve both of them so don't hesitate. My mother is 89 and a true penny squeezing Depression Era baby. I gave her the 1 1/2 qt. sauce pan and to my surprise the last time I visited she had bought the fry pan for her self. She liked the looks (she leaves these pans out on the stove just because she likes the look of quality) and appreciated the even heating and ease of cleaning. If you buy these two pieces you will probably come back for more thus justifying All Clad's marketing strategy. I know I sound like an All Clad shill, but don't hesitate, it's a bargain.

pretty goodFeb 07, 2008
By RW Cook The size of this pan is great for a lot of uses. I am disappointed in the wall thickness though. The wall on this pan is thinner than the 1 qt I bought a couple of years ago.

Quality ProductJun 02, 2009
By M. Hollingsworth I own two other All-Clad products and have yet to be disappointed. The construction is sound and consistency in cooking is great. I'll definitely be adding more to the kitchen cupboards in time.

one and a half quart sauce pan-all cladOct 09, 2008
By Margaret J. Allen very nice pan as all of the All-Clad line are. The price was about half of what the one quart pan was. I am very happy.
